Summer Reading Adventures: Where to Dive Into My Book! (or any other book!)

19 Jul 2025

Hey there, fellow book lovers! 🌞 With summer approaching, it’s the perfect time to grab a comfy spot and dive into a good read. If you've picked up my book (thank you!), I’m here to share some delightful spots and times to really enjoy it. So, roll out your beach towel, grab your favorite iced drink, and let’s find your ideal reading nook!

1. The Beach: Sandy Pages, Where Ideas Flow

Nothing says summer quite like the beach. Picture this: you’re lounging under the sun, the sound of waves gently crashing in the background, and my book resting in your hands. For the best experience, try to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The sun isn’t too harsh, and it’s less crowded. Just don’t forget your sunscreen and a cozy towel!

2. Local Parks: Nature’s Reading Room

Parks are magical in the summer! Whether you choose to spread a blanket under a shady tree or sit on a park bench, it’s the perfect setting to immerse yourself in my tale. Look for a nearby park with a peaceful vibe. Ideal reading times? Weekdays when most folks are at work, or early mornings on weekends when everything is quiet. Bonus points for packing a picnic!

3. Your Garden: Home Sweet Home

Sometimes the best reading spot is just a few steps away. Create your own little haven in your garden! I know, I know, for my British readers it might be likely to rain on you!! Add some comfy cushions, string up some fairy lights, and get lost in my book as the fireflies start to twinkle in the twilight. Evening reads with a glass of wine? Yes, please!

4. Coffee Shops: Buzzing with Inspiration

If you’re looking for some buzz while you read, head over to your local coffee shop. The smells of fresh coffee and pastries are sure to fuel your reading adventure! Mornings or early afternoons are perfect because you can grab a cozy corner before the lunchtime rush. Pro tip: try to a choose a shop with outdoor seating for that wonderful summer breeze!

5. Libraries or Bookstores: The Classics

There’s something timeless about curling up in a library or bookstore. Many have cozy nooks or reading corners that are just waiting for you to fill them with summer stories. Plus, if you haven’t read my book yet, you can always snag a copy while you’re there! Libraries often host summer reading events, so check their schedule for a chance to read with others.

6. On Public Transport: The Journey is Part of the Adventure

Got a commute? Why not turn that travel time into reading time? Whether you’re on a bus, train, or the tube, it’s a great opportunity to dive into the pages. Just be sure to find a comfy seat, and maybe keep a bookmark handy for when you inevitably have to stop reading and get off! If you haven't got your Blood in the Water bookmark yet, then get in touch and I'll make sure you get your hands on one!

Wherever you choose to read my book this summer, I hope it brings you joy and a little escape from the everyday hustle. Don’t forget to share your reading spots with me! Happy reading, everyone! 📚✨
